Lighthouse Learning Foundation

It’s Time to ReDream Education by restoring joy, purpose, creativity, and connection to every child’s learning journey.

Our Mission

At Lighthouse Learning, we believe that every child deserves an education that ignites curiosity, cultivates character, and nurtures their God-given gifts.

Through the Lighthouse Learning Foundation, we are extending this vision beyond the classroom—creating opportunities for every student to thrive, regardless of circumstance.

The Foundation exists to fund innovation, support families in need, and build pathways allowing every child to experience the full joy of learning.

We strive to ReDream Education by leading a movement in reimagining what learning can look like when it’s rooted in purpose, belonging, and hope. We call this redreaming education—restoring joy, purpose, creativity, and connection to every child’s learning journey.

ReDreaming Education is critical. Too many families feel left out of the educational model. When we redream education, we give children a place where they are seen, known, and inspired to discover who God created them to be.

Why Lighthouse Learning Needs the BRIGHT Pathways Fund

Across our community, families are facing the hardest season we’ve seen since our founding. The cost of living continues to rise—mortgages, rent, groceries, and insurance premiums have all increased dramatically in the past two years. Many parents are working multiple jobs or adjusting to new financial realities while trying to keep their children in an educational environment that truly fits their needs.

At the same time, the demand for microschool education is growing—families are searching for small, safe, supportive individualized learning spaces like Lighthouse Learning more than ever before. Yet, many of these same families find themselves on the edge of affordability, caught between wanting what’s best for their children and the financial pressure of modern life.

Why We Need The BRIGHT Pathways Fund Now

Without additional funding, families facing hardship may have to withdraw their children from the very environment that helps them thrive. At the same time, Lighthouse Learning’s programs and staff need continued investment to maintain the excellence our community depends on.

What The BRIGHT Pathways Fund Learning Ensures We Can:

  • Keep tuition assistance available for families in need.

  • Retain exceptional teachers who bring stability and creativity to our classrooms.

  • Expand trades, financial literacy, and enrichment programs that prepare students for real life.

  • Innovate with a self-paced, individualized curriculum that meets every child where they are.

  • Hire specialized teachers to support our students with ADHD and dyslexia, as well as speech-language and occupational therapy.

but what does B.R.I.G.H.T. stand for?

Our Goal Is To Help Students Shine B.R.I.G.H.T.

B – Belonging

Funds will support programs and spaces that foster community and connection. This includes developing social–emotional learning experiences, expanding mentorship opportunities, and enhancing inclusive classroom environments where every student feels seen and supported. Investments will also strengthen family engagement through community events, parent advocacy teams, and volunteer initiatives that build belonging for the entire school family.

R – Resilience

Funds will allow us to expand student wellness as well as academic and behavioral support systems:

Reading and math interventionists for targeted small-group or 1:1 support,

Dyslexia-specific instruction (Orton-Gillingham, structured literacy programs),

Executive function coaching for ADHD, organization, and task-management skills,

Specialized curriculum that meets students at their current level

I – Individualized Learning

Funding in this category will go toward expanding adaptive technology platforms, personalized learning materials, and assessment tools that help teachers tailor instruction to each child’s unique learning profile. It will also support staff training for differentiated instruction and mastery-based progress tracking, ensuring students grow at their own pace while mastering core skills.

Funds will support enrichment programs and advanced learning pathways for students who are ready to be challenged beyond the standard curriculum. This includes leadership development opportunities, independent research projects, and access to local mentors, competitions, and exhibitions that allow gifted and motivated learners to explore their potential and cultivate a growth mindset.

G – Gifted & Growth-Oriented Education

Investments will be used to expand our project-based and experiential learning model through classroom materials, science and engineering kits, art supplies, cooking labs, and outdoor education equipment. Funding will support reading and math intervention supplies such as manipulatives, decodable readers, multisensory tools, structured literacy materials, and hands-on math resources that help students grasp foundational skills in tangible ways. Funding will also support field trips and partnerships with local businesses and organizations, allowing students to apply academic concepts in real-world settings that make learning meaningful and memorable.

H – Hands-On Learning

T – Trades & Career Exploration

Funds will strengthen our innovative trades and career program for middle and upper school students by providing materials and partnerships for financial literacy, healthcare, design, construction, career trades programs, entrepreneurship, and technology projects. We will expand mentorship opportunities, host guest speakers, and build connections with local businesses to give students early exposure to real careers and future pathways.

What Our Families Are Facing

  • Financial Strain: Sudden job loss, inflation, rising insurance rates, and unexpected medical costs are making tuition difficult for many families who were once stable.

  • Children with Diverse Learning Needs: More families are seeking individualized, small-group education for gifted, neurodivergent, or struggling learners who need a different approach—but that level of support requires additional resources, specialists, and time.

  • Limited Access to Aid: Traditional scholarships and state programs often don’t cover hybrid or private microschool models, leaving families without options when hardship strikes.

  • Teacher Shortages in Traditional Schools: Parents are seeking consistency and quality—experienced teachers who can nurture their children’s growth through self-paced, individualized learning. Lighthouse Learning is committed to providing that stability, but it comes at a real cost.

Our Heart is Our Families

"Before finding Lighthouse Learning, my child was struggling—not just academically, but emotionally. School had become a place of frustration instead of growth. We felt like we were running out of options.”

“From the moment we walked into Lighthouse, everything changed. The teachers saw my child for who they truly are—not just their struggles, but their strengths. They built confidence, created a sense of belonging, and gave them a love for learning again. Because of the support, personalized instruction, and encouragement they received, my child is now thriving—reading with confidence, making friends, and waking up excited to go to school.”

“Lighthouse didn’t just change my child’s education… it changed our family."
