“As we got ready to send our oldest daughter to Kindergarten, I struggled to send her into the public schools, even though my husband and I are both educators. I didn't want her to deal with the constant standardized testing, frequent interruptions to learning during the day, etc.
Lighthouse has been the answer to these concerns. It’s such a great space for her and has provided uninterrupted chunks of time to focus on academics, a slower pace to her day, and a staff that truly knows her and cares for her. The school environment is like a family, and there is a motivation to help kids learn in whatever way they need. Every time I am there and hear how the teachers run their morning meetings, I get so excited to be there because there is such care and compassion.
Lighthouse makes time for the little details that have sadly fallen by the wayside in public schools lately. The students are friendly and respectful.
