Our Enrichment Program
Thursdays + Fridays at Lighthouse are designed for students to move, create, explore, connect, discover new interests, and experience learning beyond the traditional classroom.
At Lighthouse, we believe children need more than strong academics.
They need opportunities to create something with their hands, discover a new interest, move their bodies, perform, collaborate, try something unfamiliar, build friendships, and experience learning in the real world.
That's what Enrichment Days are for.
Thursdays and Fridays bring a different rhythm to Lighthouse—and our students love it.
More Than a Break From Academics
Enrichment That Fits Your Family
Start with academics. Add enrichment. Or join us just for enrichment.
Lighthouse families can choose the schedule that works best for their child and their homeschool journey.
At Lighthouse Learning, we believe education should fit the child and the family—not the other way around. That’s why we offer multiple flexible learning tracks, each designed to provide strong academics, meaningful enrichment, and a supportive community, while honoring the unique rhythms and priorities of each family.

Who Are Enrichment Days For?
Two Ways to Experience Enrichment
Lighthouse Full-Time Students
Students enrolled in our full-time program participate in Enrichment Days as part of their complete Lighthouse experience.
After focused core academics earlier in the week, Thursday and Friday provide opportunities to apply skills, explore interests, move, create, collaborate, and experience learning differently.
Homeschool + Hybrid Students
Enrichment Days are also available to students enrolled in our hybrid enrichment program.
Families who complete core academics through homeschooling or another hybrid pathway can give their child something that's often harder to recreate at home:
Friends. Community. Specials. Clubs. Field trips. Movement. Creative experiences. Collaborative learning.
Students get the benefits of a school community while families maintain flexibility in how core academics are completed.
What Happens on Thursdays + Fridays?
Students rotate through enrichment experiences throughout Thursday and Friday.
A Different Kind of School Day
Opportunities to create, experiment with materials, develop artistic skills, and express ideas visually.
Art
Students experience music through rhythm, instruments, performance, musical concepts, and creative expression.
Music
For hybrid students, we provide dedicated time to work on assignments, independent learning, Home Learning, or other academic responsibilities while on campus.
Study Lounge
Movement, fitness, games, teamwork, coordination, sportsmanship, and opportunities to develop healthy habits.
Physical Education
Hands-on opportunities to investigate, experiment, build, question, observe, and explore the world around us.

Eagles Clubs
Find Something You Love. Try Something New.
One of the things that makes Enrichment Days especially exciting is Eagle Clubs. Students have opportunities to choose an Eagle Club based on their own interests.
Club offerings can change throughout the year, giving students opportunities to try new activities, discover talents, connect with students who share their interests, and experience something outside of their regular classes.

Enrichment Showcases
Learning Worth Sharing
We want students to have opportunities to celebrate what they've created and accomplished.
Throughout the year, Enrichment Showcases give students opportunities to share projects, creations, performances, presentations, and other learning experiences with their school community and families.
There is something powerful about moving from:
“I learned this.”
to
“Let me show you what I can do.”
Field trips extend learning beyond our campus and give students opportunities to experience their community and the world around them.
Throughout the year, Lighthouse students may visit locations connected to science, nature, history, careers, agriculture, the arts, recreation, community experiences, and more.
Field trips aren't simply about getting out of school for the day.
They're about experiencing something together.
Students get to explore new places, ask questions, make connections, build friendships, and create memories as part of their Lighthouse community.
Field trip destinations and experiences vary throughout the school year.

Why Students Love Enrichment Days
Because Kids Need Days Like These
Thursday and Friday feel different—and that's intentional.
Students have opportunities to:
Choose something they're interested in.
Spend time with friends.
Move their bodies.
Create art.
Experience music.
Explore science.
Try something they've never done before.
Discover interests and talents.
Learn outside of a traditional classroom.
Go places and experience the world together.
Enrichment gives students another way to experience success.
A child who may find one academic subject challenging might discover that they're an incredible artist, musician, runner, builder, leader, performer, creator, or teammate.
School should give students opportunities to discover what they're good at—and what they love.
A Place To Connect
Enrichment Builds Community
Enrichment isn't only about activities.
It's also about relationships.
Clubs, collaborative projects, PE, field trips, performances, showcases, and shared experiences give students opportunities to build friendships across the Lighthouse community.
For homeschool and hybrid students especially, Enrichment Days provide something families often tell us they are looking for:
A place to belong.
Students can experience the flexibility of homeschooling while still having friends, teachers, clubs, activities, field trips, and a consistent school community.
